Hell for leather
One of many Peugeot briefs at Euro RSCG. Lovely client to work for. But when all you've got to go on is leather seats. There was only one thing for it, get a bit S&M.
The insight:
There really wasn’t much to go on when the brief to launch the new Peugeot 207 Allure Special Edition landed on my desk. Only black leather seats.
The angle:
I approached the photographer Mark Warner for this brief. He specialised in amazing landscapes made up of food, or 'foodscapes'. Rolling hills of broccolli, pasta villages, that sort of thing. When asked if he was into leather, he replied 'who isn't?'. He was in.
This was another one of those rare concepts that went from initial scamp to production, without touching the sides.

The brief:
Launch campaign for the Peugeot RCZ
The challenge:
Creative should nod to the (bonkers) TV ad created by the French agency. More of a perfume ad really, the car stalks you around the city. Ending with the immortal 'It chooses you, it owns you' at the end. I know right?
The angle:
Press and outdoor managed to avoid the perfumery and appease the client by nailing a glorious two word headline describing the contoured roof and the feeling it gives you. And the DM managed to embrace le fromagé and still come out smelling of English roses with 'Now it knows where you live'.
